Dr. Bernard Hurley, MD, FRCSC
Medical & Surgical Retina
Dr. Hurley completed his medical degree at the University of Western Ontario, ophthalmology residency at the University of Ottawa, and Vitreo-Retinal Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, where he was twice awarded the Outstanding Fellow Award.
His work focuses on diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and innovations in retinal imaging and surgical education.
An Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa and Clinician Investigator at OHRI, Dr. Hurley is Fellowship Program Director, OMT Program Medical Director, and former Residency Program Director. He serves as Vice-Chair of the Royal College Ophthalmology Exam Committee and CME Director for the Canadian Retina Society.
