Cornea, Anterior Segment & Refractive Surgery

Dr. Koaik earned her MD and completed ophthalmology residency at the American University of Beirut, followed by a fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment Surgery at the University of Ottawa.

Her research includes ocular surface reconstruction, corneal transplantation, refractive surgery outcomes, and innovations in anterior segment imaging.

An Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa and Clinician Investigator at OHRI, Dr. Koaik holds the Junior Clinical Research Chair in Ophthalmology and serves as the Department Wellness Lead. She contributes to anterior segment research, surgical education, and global outreach initiatives.
