Dr. Soumya Podury, MD, MRCS(Edin)
Glaucoma, Cataract & Anterior Segment Surgery
Dr. Podury completed her medical degree at Gandhi Medical College, India, followed by ophthalmology residency at Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation, Chennai. She later pursued a two-year fellowship in glaucoma at Queen’s University under Drs. Jinapriya, Singh, and Campbell.
Her interests include outcomes in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), surgical innovations in glaucoma management, and anterior segment imaging techniques.
An Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa, and Clinician Investigator at OHRI, Dr. Podury is the Glaucoma Fellowship Program Director and Undergraduate Medical Education Program Director for the Department of Ophthalmology.
