Cornea, Anterior Segment & Refractive Surgery

Dr. Ziai earned her medical degree and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Ottawa, followed by fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Toronto.

Her academic interests include corneal transplantation, anterior segment surgery, and refractive surgery outcomes, as well as advancing diversity and leadership in medicine.

An Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa and Clinician Investigator at OHRI, Dr. Ziai is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and Co-Founder of Canadian Women in Medicine.
